FAQs
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol or CBD is a naturally occurring product of the hemp plant. One of over 100 cannabinoids found in hemp, CBD is the most abundant and is widely known for it's pain calming and mood mellowing properties.
How does CBD work?
Research is ongoing to learn more about how CBD works but scientists believe that cannabinoids work by interacting with the body's endocannabinoid system or endocannabinoid receptors found throughout the body and brain.
Will CBD make me feel high or intoxicated?
Unlike THC products, CBD sourced from hemp will not cause you to experience a "high" or intoxicating feeling. Full spectrum CBD oil does contain a small amount of THC (less than 0.3% THC) which is enough to stimulate the "entourage effect" but not enough to cause euphoria or fuzziness that is typically associated with THC or marijuana products.

What's the difference between CBD, CBC, CBG & other cannabinoids?
There are over 100 known cannabinoids in the hemp plant. CBD is the most abundant, while CBC & CBG are only present in very small quantities and are often referred to as "rare cannabinoids" While many of their properties overlap, some cannabinoids may be more effective than others for calming certain issues. Learn more about their potential on our Formulas page.

Why do we use hemp oil as a carrier oil instead of coconut or other oils?
When choosing a carrier oil for hemp extracts, it only makes sense to use hemp oil (think using apple or grape juice as an ingredient when making pure orange juice). A good carrier oil like hemp seed oil not only assists in the absorption of CBD, it also adds enriching vitamins and additional health benefits. This makes it a great choice compared to MCT oil and other carrier oils that lack vitamins.
